I know I've been gone for a quite bit, it's been just under a year since I updated this journal, and that was just to link you towards my other content accounts. I've uploaded a bit here and there but not much.
This was for several reasons, one of which being that I've been messing with Tumblr for the last year or so and let this account slide, another is because of unnecessary-to-talk-about personal reasons.
This was for several reasons, one of which being that I've been messing with Tumblr for the last year or so and let this account slide, another is because of unnecessary-to-talk-about personal reasons.
I thought about letting go of this account all together, or maybe go through and delete most of what I had and starting again fresh, but I've come to the conclusion that this account, and the art I've posted, are a part of my personal artistic journey, and though I've not yet reached a skill height I'm happy with, I am pleased at the progress I've made since I've started. Especially considering how multi-medium I am, can't ever seem to concentrate on just writing or sculpting, I've got irons in every fire.
With all that in mind, I've decided to take a bit of a different route and shake up my modus operandi. I'll be posting Works in Progress of most of my projects as I go, in part to keep this account awake and active, and in part to encourage myself to work on improving my skills more, to keep working on things even when I feel like I'm never improving, because I know that's not the case.
So there will be WIP's going up at a (hopefully) good pace in the near future; sculptures, fan art, original art, fan fiction, original fiction, everything and anything I do creativity.
Because I know that I'm not going to be able to focus on one medium, not going to be able to just work on one project at at time, I've tried, and all I've become is frustrated, rather than fulfilled. So though I suppose I may never master one skill as much as I'd like, I'm also always having fun learning some new trick in one of my mediums. Who knows, maybe I can debunk the old saying 'Jack of all trades, Master of none'.
For those of you who've stuck around and continued to Watch and Favorite, I thank you, and hope you'll still be interested in whatever random artistic endeavors I come up with.
